Project Evaluation
I believe this project has been very successful, with the images produced being of a high standard and of professional appearance. They have a sharp focus and are well lit. I also feel the project idea to use a "set" to replicate their habitat has worked very well, with the hedgehog images giving off the appearance of a wild hedgehog in its natural environment. The poster has a professional appearance and I believe is well suited to the primary school student audience I decided to cater to, with the use of straightforward information and colourful graphics. The leaflet has straightforward information and specially selected images that are eye catching and work well in an advertisement capacity. Both the poster and leaflet have a colour scheme based off/around those used by Brent Lodge which works well alongside the chosen images and graphics. However, were I to repeat this project, I would bring extra lighting equipment to the shoots in order get ideal exposure for the hedgehog images without the risk of blur from a low shutter speed or grain from a high ISO. For the poster, I would try to minimise the bulk of the text into shorter snippets, making it easier to read and more appealing to the eye. This is something I would also like to refine for the leaflet. Were I to continue the ideas in this project further, I would like to produce larger fake sets for the hedgehogs as well as ones for the other other wildlife there, such as the owls. I would also like to bring the animals into the actual studios, humanely, to take images of the animals in a more controlled setting. |
