Shoot Plan
For the infrared, I plan to take a mixture of standard and macro images of the flowers. Using the Infrared filter, the flowers will had a glowing like effect, which should prove even more effective for the macro images. With this shoot taking place outside, wind and rain will be a factor, so choosing which day to shoot on will be priority.
Equipment: Equipment: Camera (Canon 80D), Zoom Lens, Kit Lens, Macro Lens, Standard Lens, Infrared Lens Filter, Flowers in Vase Health and Safety: With this shoot outside, take care with any wind that the vase and tripod wont fall over. Ensure for both lighting and equipment safety to shoot on a rainless day. |

Shoot Evaluation
The standard image side of this shoot has been successful, with the images coming out clear with the IR effect being prevalent. The macro images however were completely ineffective, the close up macro style combined with the need for a long shutter speed and high ISO meant all images came out blurry and pixelated. Whilst experimenting with this avenue was worth the attempt, the technique will always produce images of this low quality, so focusing effort onto the standard IR images will be far more fruitful. The standard images also have come out somewhat pixelated due to high ISO, so if I do repeat this shoot again, I will compensate for the ISO with a longer shutter speed and will need to shoot on a day with no airflow or wind to prevent blur. |
