Macro Shoot Plan
In preparation for the final shoot, I decided to take some digital images to practice macro photography (since film has a finite number of shots). For this, I created a practice shoot to prepare for the film photo shoot. Since the images would be in black and white, I wanted to focus on images that showed powerful textures and shapes, features that would appear strongly in the monotone images. I will be reliant on natural lighting, so I will need to take the images during specific weather and lighting. Health & Safety: Appropriate footwear will need to be worn since the shoot will be outside and possibly muddy. Equipment: Camera, tripod, macro lense |

Shoot Evaluation
I am very happy with these images. I feel they are strong and have bold shapes and textures. Whilst these are practice images for the black and white film shoot, I do also like the strong colours from these shots. I plan on using most of the same natural subjects here for the film shoot, since I feel they possess textures that will come across very well on film. Were I to do this again however, I would choose a time of day with better lighting or use artificial lighting, so the flowers had better shadowing.
