Shoot Plan
For the shoot, I plan to take the painting style images at Amberely Wildbrooks, including 3 specific locations there: A mossy wooded area with a fairytale appearance, a small mossy alcove in a cliffside and a viney swing hanging from a tree. These will serve as possible 12x12 cover/rear with multiple wooded area shoots being combined into a 12x24 panoramic style gatefold image. I have ensured this shoot will be on a sunny and warm day, to provide sufficient lighting and a comfortable environment for the model.
Equipment: Camera (Canon 80D), Tripod, Flash Gun, White Dress. Health and Safety: Ensure the model is not too cold/wet in the small dress. Ensure I and the model are wearing sensible footwear. |

Final Edits
In creating the edits, I edited the brightness/contrast on them, I slightly adjusted the colour balance to compensate for the grey dull lighting during the shoot and I used the gradient tool to further extenuate the ghostly trail left by the model. I also combined several images to create the gatefold image (left). I also combined the bench sitting overlooking the landscape image with a sunset image I had previously taken in the same location in order to create a more vibrant sky. |
Shoot Evaluation
The images produced from this shoot will work perfectly for the album covers and back covers for the project (with the combination image working well as a gatefold image). The colours, poses and ghostly effects I feel perfectly reflect the style used by Enya. I also refined the use of the ghost/flash technique from the test shoot, and also took some images of her still to overlay onto her in case the flash gun did not result in a clear enough still shot of the model. However, the weather was not as clear as anticipated, causing the images to have grey dull hue to them. Whilst I was able to counteract this in post, were I to do this shoot again, I would like to do it on a sunnier day so the colour of the images would be more vibrant. |
