Live Lounge Rehearsal
Shoot Plan
Whilst I did manage to experiment with the conditions in the music studios, that was during a standard studio set up. During the live lounge, both the lighting conditions and studio instruments setup would be different. In preparation for this, my client allowed me access to the final rehearsal for the live lounge, with the actual live lounge setup and lighting present. Also, learning from the previous shoot, I am using my own studio lights to get the lighting I want on the client. This gave me a chance to get a final setup plan for the live lounge setup, helpful as I would not have long to setup fully and be ready for filming before the live lounge will begin. I will also take this opportunity to experiment with the use of gels over the lights. Equipment: Canon 80D, 18-55 lens, tripod, studio lights, various gels, Photoshop. Location(s): Uni Music Studio Health and Safety: Ensure the tripod is not a trip hazard. Be mindful of the many wires around the studio as possible trip hazards. |

Shoot Evaluation
This shoot gave me a chance to get a final plan in place for the actual live lounge. I now know precisely where I will need my camera and lights setup for the live lounge. I also now know where and what setting the studio lights need to be set at too. I also managed to figure out where and how I wanted to use the gels on the lights, using a red gel on one of the lights to further add to the red style used by my client. The images I have gotten from this were successful, with the use of red lighting proving to be very effective but also resulting in a red appearance on the face, something I was able to correct using kelvin white balance during the shoot, something I will make a note of for the live lounge.
